Artist’s Valley, 00…

…is a head-turning rural scene in a frame with the look of a 19th Century Constable painting… which springs to life with a procession of pre-grouping era trains, alternating operating sessions and liveries to represent different areas of the country through the `Edwardian era’ – from the Welsh Marches to the South Downs, Peak District or even Perthshire.

Penorwic Slate Quarry, 009

… a favourite with narrow gauge enthusiasts and big kids alike who love watching diminutive quarry tanks fussing around with their slate wagons on multiple levels, with standard gauge exchange sidings and the mesmerising action of a working incline and winding house. All in just 6′ x 2′

Hereford Barr’s Court, 00

My model of Hereford Station is too big for roving to exhibitions, but an ongoing labour of love in a basement just a kile or 2 from the real thing! However, 6’x2’ ‘portable cameos’ of Dinedor Tunnel and Holme Lacy Station represent locations on the former Hereford Ross & Gloucester line, closed in 1964.

Wye Valley Garden Railway, 00

With backdrops of the real life Wye Valley, scale length model trains complete a ‘dog bone’ circuit of a scale 4-5 miles

Blackbury Line, 00

Craig’s first garden railway near Bridgend, South Wales, was operational from 2007-2019, sadly no longer with us – but reincarnated in the Wye Valley (RH)

Dinedor Crossing, 00

This small diorama recreates the actual site of Craig’s family home, as it was in the 1940s-50s when the Hereford, Ross & Gloucester Railway ran right through the garden on its approach to Dinedor Tunnel.
